Installed on air base 113 in Saint-Dizier (France) since 1973 and since its transformation on Jaguar, the 7th Wing returned to its composition of three squadrons with the creation, on May 1, 1974, of the EC 2/7 Argonne ( SPA 31 and 48), squadron whose main mission is the transformation, onto two-seaters, of all French pilots who will fly Jaguars. Since that same year, 1974, the EC 1/7 and 3/7, reinforced by the EC 4/7 Limousin created in Istres in 1980, have participated in the pre-strategic mission of the Tactical Air Force.
