This document bears the authentic signature of - Robert BRIOT, Test pilot of the only copy of the FOUGA 90 (successor to the CM 170 Fouga Magister)

The prototype, registered F-WZJB, made its maiden flight on August 20, 1978 in the hands of Robert Briot. After an interruption in December for modifications, it returned to the air on December 31.

The prototype was presented at the Paris Air Show in 1977 (static), then again in 1979, as well as at Farnborough in 1978. It was transferred to the CEV from February to March 17, 1979 where it gave a good impression. Although modernized, it betrayed its kinship with the Magister.

The air forces preferred entirely new training aircraft such as the MB.339 or the Casa C-101. France preferred the Tucano.

As a result, only one copy was built. (source: avionmilitaries.net)
