The A380 flies to conquer the United States

After landing at numerous airports around the world (Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East, Africa), on March 19, 2007, two Airbus A380s will touch American soil for the first time in Los Angeles, New York, then in Chicago. The stakes are high. The very large double-deck aircraft which can carry 555 passengers has so far received 156 orders but none from American companies which usually reserve their preference for Boeing.

Signing a contract with an American carrier would be a significant boost for the European aircraft manufacturer affected by production delays for this aircraft, which is due to enter service with Singapore Airlines later this year.
