Charles III was officially proclaimed king on Saturday, September 10, at a meeting of the Council of Accession in London, two days after the death of his mother Elizabeth II. The ceremony took place at St James's Palace in the presence of the new Queen Consort Camilla, the new heir to the throne William, Prime Minister Liz Truss and several of her predecessors.
A set of philatelic envelopes, designed by Historiaphil© (Philately Kiosk of the European Parliament, Strasbourg, France) pays tribute to HM The Queen Elizabeth II, figure in the History of Europe and the World. It was produced as a continuation of the collection of philatelic envelopes bearing witness since 1949 to the history of Europe and its institutions. Its edition is limited to only 60 numbered copies.
