25 years ago, the two Concorde Air France and British Airways landed simultaneously at New York JFK, triumphantly inaugurating the regular supersonic route between Europe and the United States.
Several aerophilatelic covers made the same journey aboard Concorde, 25 years apart, in commemoration of these first historic flights of November 22, 1977. Designed by Historiaphil© (Philately Kiosk of the European Parliament, Strasbourg, France) Special aerophilatelic envelopes have been posted since the Strasbourg plenary session of the European Parliament. They were produced as a continuation of the collection of philatelic envelopes testifying since 1949 to the history of Europe and its institutions. Their edition is limited and numbered.
