60 years ago, the assassination of JFK: the end of an American dream (November 22, 1963-2023)
On November 21, 1963, American President John Fitzgerald Kennedy flew aboard Air Force One to Texas for his re-election campaign as President of the United States. A high-risk trip on a political level because ultra-conservative and far-right currents violently criticize the Kennedys for their support of the black population in their fight for civil rights, but also for being too tender towards communism.
On November 22, 1963, the presidential motorcade passed through the city of Dallas. Aboard an open sedan, JFK greets the crowd. At 12:30, shots rang out. The presidential car accelerates, but it is too late: the 35th president of the United States has been assassinated.
