FDC European Parliament "3 years of WAR! Unwavering support EU - UKRAINE 2025" (PE815)

Main themes from the 10-13 Febrruary 2025 Plenary Session in Strasbourg (France).

- Three years of Russia’s war On Tuesday, MEPs will debate the impact of Russia’s three-year long war against Ukraine and the EU’s unwavering support for the country with the Commission and the Polish Council Presidency. Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will address MEPs at a formal sitting at noon. A a resolution will be put to a vote during the March plenary session. On Wednesday, plenary will also debate the need for targeted support for EU regions bordering Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

- Navalny murder. On Wednesday, plenary will debate the continued repression of domestic dissents in Russia one year after Alexei Navalny’s murder. Following his death, Parliament adopted a resolution holding the Russian state - especially President Putin - responsible for his death.

- Competitiveness roadmap and Commission 2025 priorities.

- Tariff threats from the Trump administration. On Tuesday, MEPs and representatives from the Commission and the Polish Council Presidency will assess the current state of EU-US trade relations, multilateralism, and the EU’s potential responses if the US imposes tariffs on European products.

- EU strategy for the Middle East.
